What is it?

Technistone countertops are manufactured, composite surfaces. Natural quartz granulates are blended with varying fragments to provide different textures and pigments to create a wide range of elegant colours and resins.

The resulting Technistone composite material is virtually non-porous, making it extremely hygienic, easy to clean, and harder than even marble or granite. This makes Technistone worktops highly resistant to chips, cracks and scratches. As a matter of fact, only sapphire, diamond and topaz are harder than this tough material.

Colours and Finishes

Technistone countertops currently come in a palette of 53 exciting colours, ranging from pastel and vivid to deep and dark. Each colour has its own individual texture, with some featuring small, almost uniform grain or pebble-like textures, while other Technistone surfaces incorporate larger fragments of glass, shell, quartz or pebbles to create large, bolder patterns.

The ‘Starlight’ collection incorporates reflective fragments, which are particularly effective if the Technistone worktop areas are highlighted by task or indirect lighting. Examples of these reflective fragments can be seen below:

How to care for it

Like most composite materials, Technistone countertops are very low maintenance. Soft cloths and warm water are essentially all that is required to routinely maintain these hard wearing Technistone surfaces. In the case of stubborn marks needing to be removed, simply use a mild detergent to gently wipe away the mark.

In order to prevent potential damages being incurred, never use bleach, abrasive cleaning agents, oil soaps or abrasive pads to clean Technistone worktops, always protect Technistone countertops with heat mats and chopping boards and always remove spills of soda, vinegar, tea, citric juices, wine and similar liquids straight away.

In addition, Technistone countertops should not be allowed to come into immediate contact with certain chemical substances, including paint removers, permanent inks or nail varnish.
Design Suggestions

Bold statements can be made in bathrooms and kitchens alike with Technistone worktops in the vivid Fresh Green, Fresh Orange or Fresh Red finishes.
Starlight Red, a predominantly pink finish with reflective particles, will add light and a touch of romance to a traditional kitchen with accents such as dark stained furniture, chandeliers or lots of crystal and antique silver accessories.
A Technistone countertop in the deep blue Starlight Sapphire finish, combined with white fixtures, chrome accents and large mirrors, will transform a bathroom into a stunning haven.
